In the world of LinkedIn and content creation, many people tend to overcomplicate things.
They think they need:
Sophisticated layouts
Highly original editorial lines
Complex content calendars
You don’t need that.
At least not when you are just getting started or didn’t reach a specific level.
A different approach can yield remarkable results.
I used this same approach to grow from 0 to nearly 60,000 on LinkedIn.
Instead of diving headfirst into complexity, it's crucial to begin with simple yet impactful actions.
If you don’t have a big profile yet (50,000+ followers), you need to focus on actions that:
• Don't take up too much time
• Help build your reputation
• Help you develop the habit of consistently playing the game
These actions serve as the foundation for your LinkedIn journey and help cultivate essential habits that contribute to long-term success.
By starting small, you avoid overwhelming yourself and set realistic expectations.
It's akin to a white belt aspiring to perform black belt movements without mastering the basics or establishing a daily training routine.
You can say that some people post sophisticated layouts or highly original editorial lines. Yes, but remember this:
They are already big.
They can spend some time and energy adding more complex layers to their content strategy simply because they are at a different level.
It takes time to develop your own vision. It takes time to create sophisticated layouts.
You don’t need that when you are just getting started.
You need to build consistency and learn the basics.
When you reach a given level, you can start adding more complex actions to your workflow.
